Summary:
Develops and maintains new contacts and/or partnerships in the community. Leads and manages strategies within a specific territory or business initiative. Responsible for growing membership through educating and servicing the Medicaid population; including meeting the communities need for ongoing educational and social service outreach to existing and potential members.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for managing an assigned territory or specific business initiative (i.e. Community Relations, Uninsured Outreach Program, Retention or Provider Marketing)
2. Assists with the development of new as well as evaluation of current strategic initiatives that will drive member growth and retention
3. Acts as liaison with community advocacy groups that impacts our target population
4. Attends networking meetings to deliver key AGP messages.
5. Develops and builds relationships with community organizations, provider offices, faith based organizations and perform other activities to enhance Amerigroup’s presence in the community.
6. Assists members and potential members with issues related to benefit and enrollments.
7. Responsible for the implementation of Circle of Life initiatives and the accompanying activities.
8. Develops community events that target potential members in the market
9. Identifies cultural issues regarding current and potential members; communicate those issues and concerns to management immediately.
10.
Manages territory effectively and within budgetary guidelines.
11.
All other professional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education
Required: High School Diploma
Preferred: Associates or BS/BA degree
Years and Type of Experience Required:
Required: 2 yrs experience in healthcare or marketing / sales environment, if highest education level is High School.
Preferred: Strong Preference for Bilingual - Fluent (speak, read, write) in both English & Spanish.
Specific Technical Skills
Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint [optional] )
Preferred:
Certifications or Licensure
Required: Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a motor vehicle and must possess valid motor vehicle insurance
